PURPOSE: An array substrate of a liquid crystal display and a method of fabricating the array substrate are provided to prevent disconnection between a pixel electrode and a drain electrode. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate of a liquid crystal display includes an insulating substrate, a plurality of gate lines(121) and data lines(161) formed on the substrate, intersecting each other to define pixel regions, and a thin film transistor electrically connected to each gate line and each data line and composed of a gate electrode, a source electrode(162) and a drain electrodes(163). The array substrate further includes a passivation layer that covers the gate lines, the data lines and the thin film transistor and has a contact hole(171) exposing the top and side of right end of the drain electrode, and a pixel electrode(181) formed at each pixel region. The pixel electrode comes into contact with the surface and side of the right edge of the drain electrode through the contact hole. |
