PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a game service using an off-line game through the on-line are provided to carry out the off-line game through the on-line by reappearing a game tool possessed by a user at a server on the on-line if the user inputs a serial number or sends the barcode information to the server. CONSTITUTION: A communication network(100) such as the Internet and a mobile communication network carries out the data communication to use the off-line game through the on-line by connecting a plurality of wire/wireless communication terminals(200) with a server computer(300). The wire/wireless terminals progress the communication connection to the server through the communication network according to the manipulation of the user buying or obtaining the game tool on the off-line and send the data for the member log-in and the registration to the server. The serial number inputted by the user is sent to the server and the server displays a game program realizing the game tool held by the user on a screen of the terminal. The terminal exchanges the game progress data with the server in real time base on the game program displayed on the screen.
