PURPOSE: A telephone number calling method in a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to detect matched telephone numbers from a caller's telephone directory stored in the terminal memory, if the caller inputs only a portion of a calling number, and to make the caller select the calling number. CONSTITUTION: If a telephone number of more than required digits is inputted from a caller, a WLL terminal detects the telephone numbers matched with the inputted number from the caller's telephone directory stored in its internal memory(S11). Then the WLL terminal outputs the detected telephone numbers on the display part(S13). After waiting for the caller's input(S15). If the caller makes an input, the WLL terminal judges whether the input indicates that the caller selected and inputted one of the output telephone numbers(S17). In case that it is judged that the caller selected and inputted one of the output telephone numbers, the WLL terminal executes originating call processing using the selected telephone number(S21). However, if it is judged that the caller did not select one of the output telephone numbers, the WLL terminal judges whether the input indicates that the caller inputted a digit in addition to the inputted telephone number(S19).
