PURPOSE: Provided are an edible ink composition and a pre-treating solution and a printing method using the ink composition and the pre-treating solution, which can print letters and images on food directly by using an ink-jet printer. CONSTITUTION: The edible ink composition comprises 0.1-10wt% of an edible pigment, 10-50wt% of starch syrup, 0.1-10wt% of alcohol, 0.005-0.5wt% of gelatin, and the balance being purified water. The pre-treating solution comprises 3-15wt% of edible glycerin, 5-20wt% of starch syrup, 0.1-10wt% of alcohol, and the balance being distilled water. And the printing method is performed by coating a material with the pre-treating solution and drying and then printing by using the edible ink composition. |
