PURPOSE: A portable phone for blind persons is provided to supply sound information to blind persons according to key input in a portable phone so that they can seek the convenience and comfortableness of everyday life. CONSTITUTION: A portable phone for blind persons consists of a battery(500), a control part(510), a battery level detector(520), a keypad(540), a sound generation part(550), the first LCD(400), a solar battery(570), and the second LCD(580). The battery(500) supplies operation power to each component. The control part(510), supplied power from the battery(500), controls each component. The battery level detector(520) receives a control signal from the control part(510) and detects the level of the battery(500). The keypad(540) is composed of a plurality of keys so that a user can select a desired key. The sound generation part(550) outputs a sound to the user according to a control signal from the control part(510) when a key of the keypad(540) is inputted. The first LCD(400), installed at the upper side of the folder of the portable phone, displays the usage information of the portable to the user. The solar battery(570) supplies power to the first LCD(400) using solar heat. The second LCD(580), installed below the first LCD(400), displays the usage information of the portable to the user.
