APPARATUS FOR COMMUNICATING DATA BETWEEN BLOCKS IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION BASE STATION AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus for communicating data between blocks in a mobile telecommunication base station and a method thereof are provided to enable interface between racks by using an ATM25M line and support additional 25M-line interface with one board, thereby constructing efficient and economic base station. CONSTITUTION: A cell bus switch part is set in an ATM mode(ST11). Each address of an ATM25 interface part(ST12). It is checked whether Tx/Rxclav signals in ATM25 interface parts are asserted(ST13). If asserted, the cell bus switch part asserts an SOC(Start Of Cell) signal and a Tx/Rxenb* signal enabling the ATM25 interface part according to the corresponding Tx/Rxclav signal(ST14). Each ATM25 interface part transmits and receives data to/from the address assigned by the port(ST15).
