A hinge for eyeglasses of the type that comprises a fork-like female element (16) which protrudes from a body (14; 114) which is joined to a first portion (frontpiece or temple) (15; 115) of a pair of eyeglasses, a male element (18; 118) being inserted between the wings (17; 117) of the female element, the male element (16; 116) protruding from a body (19; 119) which is joined to a second portion (temple or frontpiece) (20; 120) of the pair of eyeglasses, the female element (16; 116) and the male element (18; 118) being associated one another by a pivot which passes through approriately provided through holes thereof. The hinge (23; 123) has the peculiarity that the body of the male element (18; 118) forms, at right angles thereto, at least one wall portion which constitutes a retainer for the mutual rotation of the parts during the closure of the temple with respect to the frontpiece. The wall portion is arranged so as to prevent the temple from touching the frontpiece in the closed configuration. |
