The method involves performing a cutting process on the mass of explosive, if appropriate involving separation of the igniter. The mass of explosive is handled with the aid of a liquid jet cutter. The cutting jet is a very low mass jet for a given cutting capability. A jet produced with a pressure of at least 2500 bars has a mass flow of less than 4 kg/min. A remote control video camera captures the cutting process. Independent claims are also included for the following: the use of a device producing a liquid cutting jet and an arrangement for handling explosive bodies for disposal.
