PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically controlling images of a mobile telecommunication terminal is provided to enable a user to watch image signals output at the optimum state without additional key operation or command. CONSTITUTION: A luminance sensor(100) senses a signal input according to users surroundings for transmitting the sensed signal to a signal processor(200). The signal processor(200) amplifies the signal to process the signal transmitted from the luminance sensor(100), and detects the amplified signal through a detection circuit for outputting the signal within a fixed range to a microprocessor(300). The microprocessor(300) controls data of the input signal for outputting a signal controlling resolution and brightness of a screen, to a display part(400). The display part(400) automatically controls resolution and brightness of images to be displayed, corresponding to the output signal.
