The bound book (10) etc. is at least partially enclosed by a jacket. The jacket (70) forms an adhesive joint (52) with a connection element, e.g. double-sided adhesive tape (50), which is partially positioned on the binding (30). The connection may be detached, without the tape losing its adhesive function. The jacket may be a band. The width of the jacket is the same as, or larger than, the height of the book.
