A calender press for drying hides, comprising a first lower plurality of rollers (102-105), which supports a first felt belt (106), and a second upper plurality of rollers (108-110), which supports a second felt belt (111), characterized in that the first plurality of rollers has a main lower supporting roller (102) on which two calenderig rollers (108, 109) of the second plurality of rollers act wiht the same pressure, the first lower felt belt (106) being stretched by means of a front roller (103), in the hide feeding region, wiht an arrangement that is inclined toward the outside of the machine and making contact with the first calendering roller (108), with the second felt belt (111) interposed, in a point (115) that precedes the point of tangency (117) between the first calendering roller (108) and the supporitng roller (102), and independent belt (112) for feeding the hide (107) being further provided.
