A displacement amplifying chamber (6) is filled with working fluid to amplify and transmit displacement of a large diameter piston (17) to a small diameter piston (18). A drain passage (2) communicates with the amplifying chamber through a pinhole for draining the working fluid within the chamber. An Independent claim is included for a fuel injector.
