Door positioning device arranged between a door and a door frame comprises a cylinder (1) in which a turning sash (2) is rotatably arranged. Pressure chambers are defined by a leaf (4, 5) of the turning sash and a separating wall of the cylinder engaging in between. The turning sash is provided with a check valve having a high opening pressure (step valve (14, 15) and a check valve (16, 17) having a low opening pressure. The check valve with the high opening pressure blocks one pressure chamber defined by the leaf and the check valve with the low opening pressure blocks the other pressure chamber defined the leaf.
