An 80MHz femto-second laser (1) has an adapter (2) adjustable in x/y directions with an 800 nm wavelength NIR beam that uses an optical articulated arm (3) with reflective elements to enable effective transmission of laser pulses without dispersing the pulses. On a first reflective element in the arm there is a removable cover (4) for making simple adjustments in the arm. On the end of the arm a hand piece (5) has a scanner (11) with a scanner lens (10) for pinpointing a beam on a desired area of tissue, for scanning a region of interest and for performing a single line scan. An Independent claim is also included for a system for non-invasive 3D optical examination of skin and for the therapy of pathological changes ascertained.
