<p>An acrylic short fiber capable of maintaining a high dry heat contractility; a method of manufacturing the acrylic short fiber by a dyeing method suitable for the dyeing of a small lot production of a wide variety of products, characterized in that the acrylic short fiber developing a dry heat contractility of 20 to 50% at 120 to 150 ° C is dyed with the cation dye in a warm bath at the temperature of 80 ° C or below, whereby, since the acrylic short fiber has target hue of color and fastness irrespective of the density of color and a high residual contractility, the short fiber can also be used in the application for being contracted under dry heat conditions.</p> |
