Chuck for clamping workpieces has all dogs operated by drive simultaneously

The chuck has at least four dogs (1) (two dog pairs) for the central clamping of workpieces. All the dogs are operated simultaneously by a drive (7). They are stressed centrally and so all move to the same extent. The clamping force can be adjusted for each pair of dogs, not necessarily giving the pairs the same setting.
