The coupling assembly (1) with length adjustment for two rods (2,4), and especially the lock drive rod for a window or door, has a coupling (3) with a positive fit for the ends of the rods. It is composed of a number of positive fit components (8), and the second rod has a number of coupling openings (5). The dimensions of the coupling openings are set so that at least two spaced positive fit couplings can fit into them. The gap (6) between the coupling openings is smaller than the gap forming the positive fit spaces (14) of the positive fit coupling.
