A method of manufacturing a hydraulic shock absorber, comprising a piston body manufacturing step (21) having the steps of forming a piston body and forming a seal mold part on the piston body, a piston assembly manufacturing step (22) having the steps of forming a restricting oil path in the piston body manufactured in the piston body manufacturing step (21) and assembling a valve in the piston body, and a hydraulic shock absorber manufacturing step (23) for manufacturing the hydraulic shock absorber by using the piston assembly manufactured in the piston assembly manufacturing step (22), whereby, since an intermediate inventory need not be made between the processes and the inventory need not be controlled in the piston body manufacturing step for a variety of piston assemblies with different restricting oil paths and valves, the inventory control can be facilitated and a productivity can be increased. |
