摘要 Laying of roving or sliver (25) in can (30), has a rotating plate (10) with a sliver channel (5) to lay evenly within can. Rotating plate is accelerated against mean rotary speed, during half revolution when speed component of exit end (7) of sliver channel on one side and speed vector of can point vertically under channel exit are in the same direction. During other half revolution, rotating plate is braked in relation to the mean rotary speed if the vectors are in the opposite direction. The operation to lay a roving/sliver in a can uses relative rotations and/or translatory movements between the can and the rotating laying plate. The can is rotated at a constant mean speed, according to the position of the exit from the sliver channel during the rotation of the laying plate, with an acceleration/braking phase in relation to the mean can rotary speed. The can speed is accelerated during a half revolution if the vectors are in the opposite direction, and is braked in the other half revolution if the vectors are in the same direction. The rotating plate and/or the can have independent drives. The sliver is moved through the laying channel at the rotating plate with a variable speed during a plate rotation, according to the position of the exit end of the channel towards the can. The sliver can be moved faster through the channel during one half revolution of the plate, when it is accelerated, than during the other half revolution when the plate is braked. The base (33) of the can has a vertical movement within the can, to be pressed against the under side of the rotating laying more or less strongly, according to the position of the exit end of the sliver channel and/or the can movement unit. The can base remains horizontal during filling, and is pressed more strongly against the rotting laying plate during the half revolution with acceleration than in the other half revolution when the plate is braked. During a translatory movement of the can, the can base tilts to one side in a direction around the longitudinal can axis, and then tilts to the other side on the translatory movement. The changes follow a sine curve in the alterations to the speed of the rotating plate, the can and the sliver feed and also during the changes in the pressure of the can base against the rotating laying plate. An Independent claim is also included for the laying assembly, to lay a roving/sliver in a can for use at a spinner. The rotating plate has a motor (13), with an adjustable rotary speed to set the required acceleration and braking actions on the rotating plate.
