PURPOSE: A wind shield washer system for a motor vehicle is provided to maintain the wind shield glass surface clean by preventing freezing of washer liquid during the winter time. CONSTITUTION: A wind shield washer system(20) comprises a washer tank(22) for storing washer liquid; a washer pump(24) for spouting washer liquid; a hose(28) connected to the washer tank; and a spray nozzle(26) connected to the hose. The washer tank has a halogen heater(30) mounted within the washer tank. The halogen heater includes a coil for generating heat, halogen gas filling the halogen heater, and a heat radiation plate mounted at the outer surface of the halogen heater.
