PURPOSE: A multipurpose leg device for a television and a method of using the same are provided to enable the change of a position, to be used as a prop upon installing the television, a piling stand upon piling accessories and a handle upon moving. CONSTITUTION: A leg part(30) having predetermined thickness and a rectangular plate shape forms a rectangular groove on an upper part to grab with hands, and includes two leg pins(10) to be coupled to a television(40) on a base plane. The television forms guide grooves(41) on the front and rear of both ends. The guide grooves guide the leg pins to move the leg part up and down. In the leg part, a leg body(20) has a rectangular hole on an upper part, and forms two holes(22) to accept the leg pins on a base plane. And the leg pins is coupled to the holes of the leg body to connect the leg part with the television.
