<p>A deodorizing device comprising a main body case (2a) internally forming a ventilation passageway (2i); first and second lamp units (8, 10) disposed in the ventilation passageway of the main body case in a manner allowing ventilation to generate ozone; first, second and third photocatalyst filters (7, 9, 11) disposed in the ventilation passageway of the main body case in a manner allowing ventilation and provided with photocatalysts; impregnated carbon in the form of activated carbon for adsorbing odor components disposed on the downstream side of either the first and second lamp units (8, 10) in the ventilation passageway in the main body case or the photocatalyst filters or both in a manner allowing ventilation and having added thereto at least one of the components, iron oxide, potassium hydroxide and nickel nitrate. According to the above arrangement, it is possible to achieve improved deodorization effect during one pass in which contaminated air containing odor components is passed once through the ventilation passageway, prolonged life of impregnated carbon and simplified maintenance.</p> |
