<p>A powder exhibiting an optical function, which comprises titanium dioxide particles and, caused to be present on the surface thereof, a condensed phosphate containing an alkaline earth metal; a slurry comprising the powder; and a polymer composition, a coating material, a formed article exhibiting an optical function and a structure exhibiting an optical function using the powder or the slurry. The condensed phosphate binds strongly to a titanium dioxide particle and is less susceptible to liberation from the surface of the titanium dioxide particle, which imparts good durability and dispersion stability to the titanium dioxide particle. As a result, the powder and the slurry exhibit excellent optical function and also satisfactory durability, dispersion stability and hydrophilicity.</p> |
