The invention concerns a bracket for electric spot welding formed by a male support (1) mounted relatively pivoting, between two flanges (20) of a female support (2), about a hinge pin (3), each support (1, 2) bearing an interchangeable arm provided with an electrode, said hinge pin (3) being coaxial to a pin rotating (30) the assembly of supports (1, 2) integral with a pliers support, a control member with hydraulic, pneumatic or electric actuation providing the relative pivoting of the male and female supports (1, 2). The invention is characterised in that the female support (2) is made of aluminium or aluminium alloy treated by hard anodizing at least on the surfaces (26) of its flanges opposite the male support (1), said male support (1) being itself made of untreated aluminium or aluminium alloy, the surfaces (4') of the male support (1) opposite the flanges (20) of the female support (2) being provided with sliding plates (12) fixed to said surfaces (4') of the male support (1). The invention is useful for electric welding pliers.
