SCREENING METHOD FOR ANTAGONISTIC MICROORGANISM AGAINST PLANT PATHOGENIC FUNGI AND NOVEL MICROORGANISM SELECTED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: Provided are a screening method for antagonistic microorganism against plant pathogenic fungi and a novel microorganism selected therefrom and having an antagonistic effect on Pythium ultimum, Phytophthora capsici, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici, etc. CONSTITUTION: The screening method comprises the steps of: a) collecting soil from both fields, one is disease incident and the other is inhibited disease; b) separating a pathogenic microorganism collected from the disease incident soil from a selection medium then followed by culturing it in an appropriate medium and inoculating it into a medium in a cultivator; c) screening potential antagonistic strain specifically being in the disease inhibited soil by using an isolation medium or a selection medium; d) culturing the potential antagonistic strain, followed by separating microbial cells, mixing them with soil mixture and placing the mixture on the medium of step (b); and e) identifying an antagonistic microorganism by seedling plants on the soil and detecting disease incidence.
