PURPOSE: A flow rate and velocity measuring device is provided to precisely measure the flow rate and velocity with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A flow measuring device includes a branch tube(2) to partially introduce a flow(10) in a main tube(1) into the flow measuring device, a curved part(2c) to change the direction of the flow and a detecting element(5) for detecting the flow rate and velocity of the flow(11) formed between curved surfaces(2e,2f). The flow collides against a detection surface(2e,2f) of the detecting element(5) while passing through the curved part(2c) and downflow is continuously formed.
