A molded housing for an air conditioning unit (10) of the type having electrical components (32, 36, 40) mounted therein which are interconnected by electrical wires. The molded housing is provided with one or more guiding and retaining structures (50, 52) integrally molded into the housing. The wire guiding and retaining structures are positioned and configured to guide and retain the interconnecting electrical wires in a manner such that the wires do not contact outer surfaces of the electrical components.
