OIL SEPARATOR BUILT IN COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: An oil separator built in compressor is provided to improve cooling performance of an air conditioning system. CONSTITUTION: An oil separator includes an oil storage chamber(40) formed as a hermetic space by a cover(20) joined to one side of a compressor housing(10) with a refrigerant inlet(12) and a refrigerant outlet(13) and having an inlet(42) fluidically connected with a discharge chamber of the compressor housing and an outlet(43) fluidically connected with the refrigerant outlet of the compressor housing formed on an upper part thereof; an oil separation device(50) having an induction passage fluidically connected with the inlet of the oil storage chamber, a circular separation space flowing refrigerant flowing through the induction passage in tangential direction and rotating and an oil outlet formed to open in tangential direction on one side of an upper part of the circular separation space to separate oil contained in refrigerant; a guiding passage(60) formed on an inside of the cover to guide refrigerant separated from oil in the circular separation space of the oil separation device to be discharged to the outlet of the oil storage chamber; and an oil passage(70) returning oil collected in the oil storage chamber to the refrigerant inlet of the compressor housing.
