PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication unit and a communication method that can suppress a delay. SOLUTION: The communication unit sets a data transmission period that is a period suitable for data transmission in one period and a quasi data transmission period that is the period other than the data transmission period depending on a transmission channel. The communication unit assigns bits so that the data by one period can be transmitted for the data transmission period and the quasi data transmission period by one period and the data can be uniformized in each of data transmission period and the quasi data transmission period by one period.
