A bush cutting machine including an engine for rotatably driving a cutter blade, a throttle lever for adjusting a throttle of the engine, and a brake unit for stopping rotation of the cutter blade. By operating only the throttle lever, both releasing of the brake unit from a braking condition and adjusting the opening degree of the throttle can be achieved.
