PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit support structure for an automobile capable of efficiently and axially crushing a side member relative to a collision load in the front/rear direction of a car body, avoiding interference with a partition wall of a power unit, and capable of suppressing the deformation of the partition wall toward the cabin side. SOLUTION: The front side member 13 starts axial crushing by the frontal impact of the vehicle, the impact load acts on a sub frame 15 so that the sub frame 15 is broken downward and deformed from a deformation star part P, the power unit 1 moved downward with downward rotation behavior, a tensile force applies to a reinforcing member 17 provided in a dash panel 11 by downward moving components to be inputted into a base part 13a of the front side member 13, and the base part 13a of the front side member 13 is broken upward so as to suppress the deformation.
