PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a continuously casting slab and a steel plate excellent in the internal quality. SOLUTION: A quality continuously casting slab and a steel plate excellent in the internal quality characterized by the feature that when manufacturing a hot-rolled steel meeting a shipping width of an ordered product, a casting slab width and thickness to be cast are prescribed in advance in accordance with the level of quality from the required quality side and the casting slab is cast into the casting slab width and thickness required through the continuous casting, and the casting slab is divided and cut according to the width or a width drafting is performed in advance to reach the casting width desired in the following hot-rolled factory or the rolling is executed to have a steel plate in the hot-rolled factory and the steel plate is sheared and cut into a desired width dimension, and either of the stated processes is accordingly chosen to satisfy the shipping width of the steel product.
