PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor and shorten a time required for decontaminating PCB contaminated matter by dispensing with a distillation/separation step of PCB from a cleaning agent and a drying step before the cleaned material is withdrawn from a cleaning tank, which are necessary in the conventional method. SOLUTION: The PCB contaminated matter is cleaned by using mineral oil such as electrical insulating oil and lubricating oil as the cleaning agent for decontaminating the PCB contaminated matter by a solvent decontamination method.
