PURPOSE: A laser diode unit combined with an integrated optical system is provided to reflect a laser beam emitted from a laser diode chip on an HOE(Holographic Optical Element) surface via a diffraction grating, and to focus the laser beam as passing through a lens surface to make a beam on a disk, then to read/write information of the disk, thereby supplying a super-slim optical pickup. CONSTITUTION: A laser diode(202) is closely adhered to one side of a lens module(201). A monitor PD(Photo Diode)(203) is adhered to the other side of the lens module. A beam emitted from the lens module is focused on one point on a disk(204) without an objective lens. One side of the lens module is faced with the laser diode, and the other side thereof is faced with the monitor PD. A beam outputting side is opposite to the disk. A diffraction grating is formed on one side of the lens module as a diffraction grating surface. An HOE reflective surface is formed on the other side as an HOE surface. A focusing objective lens opposite to the disk focuses an optical beam without the objective lens, to be focused on an optional point of the disk. |
