PURPOSE: A device for emergently operating a brake of a car is provided to perform a braking action by contacting brake shoes to a drum even though a hydraulic pressure or pneumatic pressure supply line of the brake is damaged. CONSTITUTION: A device for emergently operating a brake of a car includes a pair of brake shoes(2), a wheel cylinder(3), a drum(4), and a pressurizing member(8). Lower ends of the brake shoes are hinged at a back plate(1). The wheel cylinder pushes the brake shoes. The drum generates braking power by the brake shoes pushed by the wheel cylinder. The pressurizing member pushes the brake shoes by moving from the inside of the back plate to the outside when a hydraulic pressure or pneumatic pressure supply line toward the wheel cylinder is damaged and the wheel cylinder is not operated.
