PURPOSE: A shampoo composition obtained by adding a non-anionic surfactant to a shampoo composition simultaneously containing an anionic surfactant and a cationic polymer is provided which imparts a hair washing effect, static electricity preventing effect, hair protecting effect and conditioning effect in wet hair. CONSTITUTION: The shampoo composition contains 0.01 to 5% by weight of a cationic polymer having a charge density of 5.2meq/g, 1.0 to 10% by weight of a non-anionic surfactant, and 5.0 to 30% by weight of an anionic surfactant, based on the total weight of the composition. The non-ionic surfactant has the structure : R(OCH2CH2)nOH, wherein R is C8-20 alkyl, n is an integer from 2 to 5.
