PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method and a drying apparatus for wrapping material crushed fragments which are capable of efficiently drying the fragments of wrapping material. SOLUTION: A plurality of transportation pipes 101 equipped with screws 103 in the inside are arranged in parallel and joined to one another to form a continuous flow channel, fragments of wrapping material are supplied to the starting end part of the flow channel, the screws 103 is rotated while hot air being blown to the flow channel, and the fragments of wrapping material are transported and dried while being stirred and then discharged out of the terminal end of the flow channel.
