PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable resin capable of gibing a cured product excellent in heat resistance, moisture resistance, flexibility, or the like, and also, having an excellent tack-freeness, alkali-developability, etc., and a composition comprising the same. SOLUTION: The curable resin is a radically curable resin having at least one radically curable double bond and at least one carboxy group in the molecule, and is characterized in that some of or all of the carboxy groups bond to the principal chain of the curable resin through an organic group having at least two ester bonds and a hydrocarbon chain of not less than three carbon atoms.
