PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable radiation instrumentation system even under a high temperature condition where a multiplication factor of a photomultiplier is lowered remarkably. SOLUTION: This radiation instrumentation system having a scintillation type radiation detector 1, the photomultiplier 2 for multiplying a light signal from the detector 1, and an amplifier 4 for amplifying an output of the photomultiplier 2 has a radiation source 6 for generating a known monochromic energy radiation, a radiation source pulse-height distribution measuring means for measuring a pulse-height distribution of the photomultiplier 2 combined with the radiation detector 1 by a radiation from the radiation source 6, and a means for compensating the lowering of the multiplication factor in the photomultiplier 2 with the lapse of time, based on the pulse-height distribution provided by the pulse-height distribution measuring means.
