PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extensible/contractible gate door capable of preventing overturning of a gate door body, reducing run-out of a side frame on the moving side of the gate body to inside and outside direction caused during the opening and closing operation and thereby realizing smooth operation of the gate door body. SOLUTION: An extensible/contractible gate door is provided with a pair of gate posts 1, 2 and a gate door body 3 which is extensible and contractible in the direction to open and close the space between the gate posts 1, 2. Running wheels 27, 27a which run on the ground are provided at least on the moving side of the side frame 6 of the gate door body 3. A guide rail 4 is laid out on a ground 11 between the gate posts 1, 2 in the opening/closing direction of the gate door body 3. The moving side frame 6 is provided with an inclination preventive catcher 28 which catches the guide rail 4 from the bottom side when the moving side frame 6 inclines, and also with a run-out preventive catcher 58 which catches the guide rail 4 in the inside and outside direction when the moving side frame 6 run-outs to the inside and outside direction. The inclination preventive catcher 28 and the run-out preventive catcher 58 are placed with spacing in the opening/closing direction.
