PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer mass concrete bottom slab which contributes to elimination of excessive quality thereof and heat generation caused by hydration, by avoiding use of a large volume of concrete having the same quality as that of concrete of general portions of a concrete structure, when the mass concrete bottom slab is constructed, and to provide a method for constructing the mass concrete bottom slab. SOLUTION: The multi-layer mass concrete bottom slab 1 is formed of a multi-layer structure, and consists of a lower layer 4, an upper layer 6, and an intermediate layer 5 which contains recycled aggregate of low quality, or low-strength concrete containing large-scale concrete crusts as aggregate. Concrete placement of the intermediate layer is executed by a prepacked method.
