PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel and significantly useful energy rays curable type resin composition excellent in the adhesion and the abrasion resistance to a metal, metal evaporated film and metallic base coat and to provide a method for forming a film. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains an acrylic resin comprising a specific monomer mixture, a phosphate (meth)acrylate compound and a multifunctional (meth)acrylate compound having 3 or more functions. The method comprises the application of a coating material containing the composition to the metal, the metal evaporated film or a film containing a metal filler and an acrylic resin and the curing by irradiating of the energy rays.
