THIN FILM TRANSISTOR-LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY WITH IMPROVED PIXEL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A thin film transistor-liquid crystal display with an improved pixel structure is provided to add a new pixel to the center of a pixel electrode or form a slit in the pixel electrode so as to form a definite declination line. CONSTITUTION: An active element is formed on at least one substrate, and a pixel electrode(6) is connected to the active element. The pixel electrode is formed in a specific pattern of slits. An additional slit(8') is formed at the center of the pixel electrode so that the left and right parts of the pixel electrode are symmetrically operated when voltage is applied to liquid crystal(12).
