PURPOSE: A jig for a shot peening of a connecting rod is provided to maximize an effect of the shot peening by fixing the connecting rod to the jig in order to carry out the shot peening. CONSTITUTION: At least one supporting block(30) is provided on a base plate(1) and a horizontal supporting member(21), respectively, at a 120 degree. The supporting block include one end formed on a fixing recess(31) closely fitted into by a large end of a connecting rod, and the other end fixed on the base plate(1) and a horizontal supporting member using a fastening means such as a screw. The connecting rod is closely fitted into the one end of the supporting block on its large end, and thereby maintaining the other end upward. In this state, an I-section of the connecting rod is subjected to a shot peening.
