PURPOSE: A power control method using a linear predictor coefficient is provided to heighten an adaptivity of a power control in a mobile communication environment and more delicately and simply perform a power control with a high performance by allowing a UE(User Equipment) and a UTRAN(UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) to perform a power with a predicted value on future power control information of uplink and downlink by using a linear predictor coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A base station receives an initial power control preamble from a UE, generates a TPC(Transmit Power Control) command by using a linear predictor coefficient and transmits it to the UTRAN. The UE generates a forward TCP variation command by using the linear predictor coefficient and transmits it to the UTRAN. The UTRAN adjusts power to be transmitted to downlink by using the uplink TPC variation command, generates a downlink TPC variation command by using the linear predictor coefficient and transmits it to the UTRAN. The UE adjusts power to be transmitted to downlink by using the downlink TPC variation command, generates an uplink TPC variation command and transmits it to the UE.
