PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the unpleasant feeling given to a human body due to an abrupt change in effective temperature of the human body caused by ventilation which directly hits the human body, particularly, when an air conditioner is operated for cooling, dehumidification, etc. SOLUTION: The main body 1 of the air conditioner is constituted of a base 2 having an air vent 2d in a connecting section which connects an upper rear guider section 2a and a lower rear guider section 2b to each other and a suction opening 6 in the bottom face, a base cover 3 on the backside of the main body 1, and a front panel 4 provided with an air outlet 7 in the lower part of the front face of the main body 1. The air conditioner is provided with a heat exchanger 9 which is positioned to face the air vent 2d, first and second supply fans 10 and 11 which are respectively installed to the upper and lower rear guider sections 2a and 2b, and a first opening 4a in the front panel 4. The air conditioner is also provided with an opening/closing panel 12 which opens/closes the opening 4a, a first rotating means 13 which rotates the opening 4a, and a partition plate 5 which divides the inside of the main body 1 into front and rear chambers. In addition, the air conditioner is also provided with a second opening 5b through which the air on the front side and rear side of the partition plate 5 is by-passed, a plurality of louvers 5c which open and close the second opening 5b, and a second rotating means 5d which rotates the louvers 5c. |
