PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with high elaboration capable of providing players with a fresh sense of playing. SOLUTION: The game machine 1 is provided with a hit/miss determining means for determining a hit or miss in a game by occasion of the realization of conditions for starting determination, a temporarily halting display means for temporarily halting and displaying part or all of a plurality of patterns at previously determined patterns after varying and displaying the plurality of patterns, a determination result ascertaining/halting/display means for ascertaining, halting, and displaying the result of determination at a previously determined combination of patterns, and a special game executing means for executing a special game by occasion of that the result of determination incomes a hit. A plurality of temporarily halting display modes by the temporarily halting display means are provided, and one mode among the plurality of temporarily halting display modes is selected and displayed at temporarily halting display.
