PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recording quality by making joints of recording data blocks unnoticeable in a recording method in which one line is completely recorded by scanning a recording head by a plurality of the number of times while a horizontal scanning direction is divided to a plurality of recording data blocks. SOLUTION: An overlapping region is set in the horizontal scanning direction of adjacent recording data blocks. A random mask pattern is applied to the overlapping region when recording is carried out. At the same time, an overlapping region is provided also in a vertical scanning direction, and multipath printing is carried out. The whole image is improved in this manner. |
