PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and an ink cartridge in which problems incident to use of a pigment ink such as sedimentation of ink dye, can be eliminated. SOLUTION: A carriage 1 is arranged with a holder case 22 thus constituting a cartridge holder 21. A piezoelectric element 24 is fixed, as an exciting means, to the rear surface of a cover body 23 covering the upper opening of the cartridge holder 21 and covered with an elastic member 25. The elastic member 25 is joined to the upper surface of an ink cartridge 7 fitted in the cartridge holder 21 and a vibration generated from the piezoelectric element 24 is transmitted to the ink cartridge 7. Consequently, ink stored in the ink cartridge 7 can be imparted with vibration and stirred. |
