PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid sample measuring unit and an automatic liquid sample analyzer provided with this capable of coping with a light source of any wavelength by an inexpensive and extremely simple structure. SOLUTION: The liquid sample measuring unit is provided with a housing part detachably housing a translucent container, a first light source irradiating light on the translucent container housed in the housing part, a second light source irradiating light with a wavelength different to the first light source on the translucent container housed in the housing part, a light detector detecting light from the first light source or the second light source via the translucent container housed in the housing part, a container position changing means changing a position of the translucent container, and a control part controlling the container position changing means. The position of the translucent container is controlled in accordance with required measurements so as to change it to a first container position for detecting the light from the first light source and a second container position for detecting the light from the second light source.
